Zigzag beaded necklace or bracelet

This design is very easy to learn and different bead shapes and designs can be used. It is better to use the same size pearl or rounds for the bracelet and 2 different sizes for the necklace.

For this tutorial, I will be using 8mm and 6 mm rondelles with 11/o seed beads.

Let's begin:

Beautiful beaded flower using the bead netting technique.

This beaded flower is made up of 5 petals as you can see from the picture. Each of the petals is made up of two parts;

1. An ascending part, with 6 peaks
2. A descending part also with 6 peaks

If you want the flower to be smaller, you can reduce the number of the peaks. For example, the flower below has just 3 ascending and 3 descending peaks.

Beaded Spiral (necklace or bracelet)

The beaded spiral necklace or bracelet is a very easy stitch and a beginner can easily learn how to do this stitch. It is also highly versatile. You can use different types of beads to achieve different looks. It can also be embellished with whatever you feel like.
The fishbone spiral is also made using this basic beaded spiral rope technique, except including a crystal rondelle bead.

Increasing and decreasing a row in two needle right angle weave

In a previous post, I explained how to do two needle right angle weave. Today I will be illustrating how to increase or decrease rows in order to form different shapes. I hope it will be useful.

You can increase and decrease rows either within the row or at the end. To learn basic right angle weave click here
When we increase or decrease within the row, we gain or lose just one RAW unit.
However, when we increase or decrease at both ends, then we gain or lose two RAW units.

To increase within the row
·       When we get to the position where we want to add a new RAW unit, Rather than pick up one bead with the right thread and cross with the second bead,

·       We pick two beads and cross with a third bead like this;

I called this bugle beads spiral necklace even though it can be made into either a necklace or a bracelet. It is somewhat similar to the Russian spiral and the African helix stitch. It is one of those procedures that I learned from nairaland forum. So get your materials and have fun beading:)

St. Petersburg Stitch Beaded Leaf Tutorial
St. Petersburg Stitch Beaded necklace
St. Petersburg Stitch is yet another one of those beading stitches that is easy to learn. You can use this stitch with different bead shapes and sizes to make your own stunning handmade jewelry. This leaf is usually done in two halves, and then attached. However, you can simply do the two halves with the same length of wire and this will help reduce the amount of wire used. Below is the regular procedure for the beautiful beaded St. Petersburg Stitch Beaded Leaf.

How to make an easy beaded heart using the double needle right angle beadweaving technique

This easy beaded heart can be used as a pendant or a pair as an earring. You can use different bead sizes and shapes. If you know how to make the double needle right angle weave , then this will be even easier for you to make.

I have made this tutorial using two different colours, but you can as well just use one colour all through and just replace both "colour A and  colour B" with your bead of choice.

30 beads beaded ball

The 30 beads beaded ball can be used as a pendant, earrings or strung to make necklace. It can be made with any bead size or shape but it is advisable for a beginner to first practice with fairly big beads.

The ball is basically made in three rounds. 5 beads for 1st round, 15beads for 2nd and 10beads for the 3rd round.  I have used different coloured bead to make it easier to follow.

The new Abuja connection beaded necklace technique

New abuja connection necklace

The Abuja connection beaded necklace has two varieties, one known as the old Abuja connection beaded necklace and the other, the new Abuja connection beaded necklace. I made a post about the old abuja connection beaded necklace here

This design is very elegant and quite easy to make. The first layer is made using the double needle right angle technique. I have only made three layers because I personally don't like my necklace to be too big. However, you can make it up to as many layers as you want :)

I used a total of 117, 8mm rondelle crystal beads and my necklace measures 18.5 inches without the clasp.

So let's' get started:)
