How to make the beaded rose flower

This beaded rose flower is easy and quick to make. It can be used as brooch, pendant, earrings or joined together to form a necklace like the one at the end of this post.


Materials Needed:

Needle,

0.30mm monofilament thread

8mm rondelle crystal beads

11/o (size 2) seed bead

Procedure:

1. Pick 8 crystal beads and slide them down the thread.

2. Tie 2x to form a circle and pass your needle into the next crystal bead(let's say Cb1) after the knot. 

3. Pick 1sb, 1cb, 3sbs, 1cb and 1sb and pass the needle back through that same crystal bead(cb1).

                     

 

4.  Pass the needle through the last Sb added in step 3.

5.  Pick up 8sbs, pass your needle through 3sbs from step 3 from left to right.

                   

 

It should look like this: 

6. Pick up another 8sbs, pass your needle into the last sand from step 3 and into the same cb1 in step.

                   

We have now finished the first petal with seven remaining.

7. To make the second petal, pass your needle into the next crystal bead(now cb2) from the circle and repeat steps 3-6 again.

8. Repeat steps 3 to 6 for Cb3 to 8.

You can use more or less number of crystal beads base. In the necklace below, some of the roses has 8 crystal beads, others 6, 4 and even 3 crystal beads.
