The fishbone spiral is very similar to the spiral design posted here.
The only difference being that we substitute a crystal bead for two of the size
11/o B seed beads. Read on for the tutorial:
Materials
1. 11/0 (size2) Seed beads
2. 6mm crystal beads
3. 0.3mm or 0.25mm monofilament (0.25mm is preferable because
you will be passing the thread through the core beads severally.)
4. A beading needle.
Procedure
1. Cut the maximum length of thread that you can
comfortably work with. Thread one end unto a needle and add a
stop bead to the other end of the thread, leaving about 8 inches tail
(for attaching the clasp).
2. Pick 5 seed beads,
1cb and 1seed bead.
3. Pass your needle from the bottom upwards into the first 4 seed beads,
leaving 1seed bead,1crystal bead and 1seed bead. Pull Snug
4. Pick 2 seed beads, 1cb and 1 seed bead.
5. pass your Needle into the last 4 seed beads from bottom upwards i.e. the 3 from the step3 and the 1st added seed bead in step4. Pull snug.
Should look like this:
6. Repeat steps 4 and 5 till you get to your desired length.
Happy beading:)
