The old Abuja Connection Bead Earrings Tutorial



The old Abuja connection beaded necklace design is a very easy to make and lovely design. Making the earrings is even easier. So, why not make a pair of Abuja connection earrings to go with the necklace? Here is how to make the old Abuja connection bead earrings.

Materials
1. 4mm rondelle crystals or pearls or seed beads or bicones.(CR)
2. 11/0 seed beads (size 2) (SB)
3. 0.25mm thread.
4 Two beading needles (optional)


Let's get started :

1. Cut about 37 inches thread and thread each end unto a needle.

2. Pick 3 CR with the right needle and 1CR with the left needle. Slide down the 3CR on the right to the middle of the thread and now cross the right needle through the single CR on the left.

                                                     It should look like this        








3. Pick up 3SBs with both needles and cross through 1CR.





4. Pick 2CR with the upper needle and 1CR with the lower needle and cross the upper needle through this 1CR.



5.  To make a turn, Pick 2CR with the left needle , 1CR with the right needle and cross the left needle through this 1CR..



You have this:



6. Pick 5 SBs with both needles and pick a CR with the right needle. Cross the left needle through this CR.



7. Now pass the right needle through the lower CR from step 2.



 8. Now pick 2CR with the right needle and cross the left needle through the 2nd CR




 It should look like this:

 9. To make a turn, pick 2CRs with the right needle and 1CR with the left needle. Cross the right needle through the 1CR on the left.
Should look like this:


10. Pick 6Sbs with both needles. Pick 1Cr with the right needle and cross the left needle through this CR.

11. Pass the right needle into the CR directly above it.


 12. Pick 2CRs with the left needle(uppermost) and cross the lower needle through the 2nd CR.


12. To turn, pick 2CR with the left needle and  1CR with the right needle. Cross the left needle through this 1CR on the right.



13. Repeat steps 6 to 12 two or more time but increasing the number of SBs by one or two each time.
